This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or offer legal advice to anyone. For any of those, you need the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's office that holds the custody record.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Here is where each kind of question belongs in St. Clair County. Start with the office that keeps the file, because that office controls the answer.
- Whether a warrant exists: call the clerk of the court named on your paperwork, since the county publishes no public active-warrant list and no list would be complete
- A missed court date or bench warrant: call the 72nd District Court for a traffic, ordinance, or misdemeanor case, and the County Clerk for a case that has moved up to Circuit Court
- A support or family matter: call the Friend of the Court, which runs the show-cause process that can lead to a bench warrant
- Clearing or lifting a warrant: ask the issuing court what it requires, which may be a payment, a new date, a motion, or a bond, and talk with a licensed Michigan attorney about your own case
- Custody or bond: call the county jail bond line, which handles the closed-court payment rules
- Copies of records: file a public records request with the county or the city that holds the file, since a records request does not confirm a warrant status on its own

District Court counters are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The sheriff's records window keeps weekday business hours. Call before you travel, because a filing, a payment, or a scheduled appearance may be required rather than a walk-in.
The sheriff's general line is 810-987-1700, the non-emergency line is 810-985-8115, and bond questions go to 810-987-1720. For a support case after hours, the Friend of the Court offers an automated line at 877-543-2660.
